Remixes are due on Sat., Aug. 6. You just need to post your complete fanwork that meets the minimum size requirements to the DC Multiversity Remix collection on AO3. You'll have about two weeks left to refine, beta, and make adjustments.

Also, hop over to the opt-in post for the Remix Scramble. Comment with your information and take a look at the other folks who's signed up to have their fanworks remixed.

We finished matching a day early, so you should be receiving an email giving you details about your assignment.

Unfortunately, the wording we used on the sign-up form didn’t carry through to the assignment notification. "Description" is your remixee’s safe fanwork. This is the one fanwork that they do not want to be remixed.

Please remember that this is an anonymous challenge. Feel free to spread the word about DC Multiversity Remix, but try not to give specifics about what you're creating or who you're remixing.

We've also created the opt-in post for the Remix Scramble. Even if you've signed up for the challenge itself, if you want to have your fanworks remixed to the broader public, please leave a comment on the opt-in post (and help signal boost, too).

We'll close sign ups at 11:59 p.m. ET today. This challenge is open to ALL fanworks, so you have a chance to remix a vid, icons, art, or any creative endeavor you can think up! To qualify to sign up, you only need seven total fanworks in a single fandom. It can be any combination of fic, art, gifs, vids, etc.

So we got some great feedback that we are implementing immediately. We’re throwing the doors wide open to ALL fanworks, starting with our 2016 remix challenge.

We appreciate everyone who shared their feedback. We’ll still match primarily based on fandom, but this means there’s a chance you can remix the medium — fic to art, vid to podfic and every variation in between.

We’ve updated our sign up form on AO3 as well as the rules and FAQs. You just have to have a minimum of 7 fanworks in a single fandom to sign up.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll also be rolling out fandom-specific banners, and it'd be great if you could help promote and signal boost to your friends ‘cause the more people who sign up, the more fun this’ll be!
